Kelly E. Sweet
Kelly’s collaborative, forward-thinking approach to holistic financial planning has become one of the hallmarks of her 20+ year career in the financial advisory field. As our newest Client Advisor, Kelly works with Ray and the Client Service Team, leveraging her background in tax accounting, investments and legacy planning as well as her strong organizational aptitude to deliver the strategic, highly personalized wealth management expertise Trellis clients have come to know and expect.
Most recently, Kelly served as a Client Advisor with Laird Norton Wealth Management where she worked with high net worth families to help them achieve their goals. She also served on the firm’s Investment Committee. In 1995, Kelly helped launch Tyee Asset Strategies, working with high net worth individuals and families as a Client Manager before becoming a Client Advisor. It was at Tyee that Ray and Kelly first met.
Prior to joining Tyee, Kelly worked as a Tax and Financial Planning Manager for Moss Adams LLP, partnering with high net worth individuals and small businesses to help them reach their goals. She got her start as a tax consultant for Arthur Andersen where she worked with both individual and nonprofit clients.
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Oregon. She is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. She is a member of the Washington Women’s Foundation, Seattle CityClub, and the AICPA.
In her spare time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and Aging Loved Ones, riding her bike with the Cascade Bicycle Club, knitting, and singing. She serves clients out of our Seattle office.
