Crystal L. Gilmour
Practice Management Consultant
Working alongside her husband Ray since the firm's inception, Crystal has served as Trellis’ Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer. Although Crystal has stepped away from those roles in order to care for their son who suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), she still plays a crucial role in implementing the Trellis approach to efficient and holistic client service by providing in-depth knowledge and expertise in all aspects of firm management.
Crystal gained insight into the hard work and dedication necessary for starting and running a business while growing up and working on her family's farm. She started her career as a CPA at Ernst and Young in Seattle, as an auditor and a tax preparer. After achieving her Masters degree, Crystal spent six years with premier accounting firm Clark Nuber where she served individual and business clients with tax compliance and consulting. Crystal was instrumental in Clark Nuber’s early adoption of a paperless environment by spearheading the testing and implementation of a cutting-edge software program.
Crystal holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a Masters in Professional Accounting in Taxation. She is a Certified Public Accountant (Retired) in the State of Washington and is a member of the AICPA.
Since their son’s accident, Crystal has become an expert on all matters of TBI. When she’s not caring for her son, Crystal enjoys reading, baking, and any activity with her family. Crystal works out of our Ellensburg office.
